Romantica Bridal Wear: The family-run wedding dress design house Romantica of Devon started life in the 1980s and has leapt to the forefront of the designer wedding dress industry. Now one of the biggest bridal wear companies in Europe Romantica thrives on traditional fashion values, offering a huge range of distinctive designer wedding dresses at affordable prices.
Romantica was first set up in the Devon countryside by designer Sally Waddington and sales director husband Mike with 20 machinists making traditional wedding dresses.
Growing sales saw Romantica of Devon move into bigger premises and expand their range. Soaring demand saw them outsourcing manufacturing to China although they still make many of their designer wedding dress gowns in the UK.
Royal approval came with Princess Anne opening yet another extension to their Devon factory in 2001 while, at the same time, leading bridal wear designer Jennifer Bolt joined the Romantica team.
Still battling to cope with the growing demand for their distinctive designer wedding dresses, the company expanded into new premises 2010.
Despite the continued growth and expansion over the years, the company still prides itself on old-fashioned family values and traditional wedding dress designs.
With the launch of around 30 new styles every season, Romantica wedding dresses come in an immense range of models. There is a designer wedding dress design almost guaranteed to fit any shape, length, size or colour.
Wedding dress styles range from the classic princess silhouette to the super-sleek slimline look. Bit it's that marriage of pedigree, experience and chic that gives Romantica of Devon the edge when it comes to creating elegant wedding dresses for every type of ceremony, from the traditional church wedding to that big day on the beach.
The award-winning Romantica of Devon design house has sought to combine quality with affordability in designer wedding dresses, and many will argue it has won in every department.
